Grievance Procedure - Pre April 2009 (EMP.RE.03.03)
Document Description
This procedure no longer applies. Please use the Grievance Procedure - April 2009 (new).

This Grievance Procedure should be applied where the complaint commenced prior to 6th April 2009. From the 6th of April 2009 a new ACAS Code of Practice applies and it replaces the Statutory Dispute Resolution Procedures

However, please note that the Statutory Dispute Resolution Procedures still apply to dismissals due to the non-renewal of Fixed Term Employment Agreements since the new ACAS Code of Practice does not apply to the non-renewal of Fixed Term Contracts on their expiry.

This Grievance Procedure also contains the modified grievance procedure, for use where the complainant has left the employment of the company.

All employers are required to have in place grievance procedures which comply with the statutory minimum procedure where the grievance procedure commenced before 6th April 2009. This Grievance Procedure satisfies the statutory minimum requirements imposed by the Employment Act 2002.

The Grievance Procedure enables the Company to ensure that any problems, complaints or concerns that employees may have are dealt with fairly, consistently and in timely fashion.

This Grievance Procedure contains the following sections:
1. Informal Procedure
2. Standard Formal Procedure
3. Modified Formal Procedure
4. Confidentiality

This Grievance Procedure is in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.
